I plan on making a large radio control model of the B26 'Pappy's Pram' but would like more information about it if anyone has any. Any help would be appreciated.

I know it was a plane from the 322nd bomb group450th BS flying missions over Europe, and that Bob Menzing Sr. was the mechanic who painted the nose art. The serial number was 41-31802 and the registration number was ER-G.

The crew were: St. James Hinkle (VA), Sgt. Robert Hammerberg (IL), Sgt. Frank Udovich (WI), Sgt. CharlesA. Smith (TX), St. Wilbur DeGroff (WI)

I am really looking for more information about how the plane looked - colour scheme, and particularly more images of the nose art... I have the two images below and would love to see more if they exist...

Does anyone know if someone has produced a colour side profile of this aircraft?

Thanks Jasper, but I've gone through that site with a fine tooth comb and not much information there, appreciate the response though... That page gives the serial number which I already have. Believe me I think I have reached the limits of google rolleyes.gif

Whoever passed my request for information about Pappy's Pram on to Andrew Boehly at the Pima Air and Space Museum, THANK YOU! biggrin.gif

He emailed me today with 2 fantastic full photos of the nose art on the plane! Thanks very much my anonymous benefactor!
