Evening All,

Does any one know if any members of the R.A.A.F. [Royal Australian Air Force] were seconded to any B-26 Group/Squadron in the S.W.P.A., as happened with various other U.A.A.F. Groups/Squadrons.

Hi Clive,

quite a few, with a resultant number of casualties also.

Example IE #1 Co-Pilot P/O G B Robertson in the crash of 40-1433 1700hrs 13/09/42 at Iron Range.

Example#2 40-1508 on the 09/06/42 with Co-Pilot P/O Lane A Passmore crashing 30 miles off the coast of Salamaua PNG

Again Hi Clive ,

add also 40-1529 (408th BS) MIA over Kokoda mountains, New Guinea 17/12/42 with RAAF member Sgt W L Scalan Serv#406736 killed with the 22nd BG Crew

Have some official reports on all three

Besides the 22BG, We flew with B-25s, B-17E/Fs of the 3BG/19BG &43BG as co-pilots and Navs
